Join this established, profitable and growing food products manufacturing firm on their Quality /R & D  team.  As the new Product Development  Manager, you will be responsible for coming up with new product ideas,  and then coordination those accepted by senior leadership through all stages of development. This position will work closely with Directors of  Manufacturing, Marketing, and Packaging to map these new marketing and product development plans.

 

Responsibilities  of the Product Development Manager – Entry Level

  • Present new product concepts  and manage roll out process   including  new product introduction, timelines,  delegation of tasks,  and status reporting
  • Evaluate  of non-productive products
  • Collaborate with Marketing on identifying trends and customer needs
  • Works with Sales and Finance to develop demand and profitability forecasts
  • Liaise with co-manufacturing partners throughout innovation and manufacturing process
  • Assists Manufacturing in researching and evaluating materials, assemblies, processes, and equipment

 Desired qualifications of the Product Development Manager – Entry Level

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Management, Engineering, Industrial Design, Marketing, Project Management, Food Science or related field required
  •  Some practical experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally intersecting with product innovation
  • A world-class communicator:   excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of product technology, manufacturing processes, and design principles
  • Analytical skills required for market data, understanding customer needs, and identifying competitive landscapes
  • Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance experience is a plus

Compensation for the Product Development Manager /Entry Level
